Chalk Art for evangelism and street ministry
The first thing to remember when you use chalk art in an evangelism or street ministry setting, is that the message is the most important thing.
Many chalk artists focus on their drawing so much that they lose sight of the real purpose. It becomes a mere race to see if they can finish the drawing within a specific time period, amazing the audience. Well, that's all nice and good, but if the people don't remember the message of the gospel of Christ, then you have failed. Sometimes when I do chalk drawing for evangelism, I even work with one or more other people - someone who can speak clearly and present the gospel, and one to do the drawing, while the third supports with tracts or other material. Otherwise, if I am alone, I have a very clear picture in my mind of what I will say. The focus is never on the picture - always on Christ.

My Drawings

Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. - Psalm 60:4
This drawing is one of my favorites. I actually saw a version of it on a website somewhere, and changed it a little to fit my need. You can see many of my drawings here...
