I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. - Luke 15:7

Prodigal Son
A friend told the story of the prodigal son while I drew this one. The emphasis was on the lost son returning home, and the party that his father had for him.

I had no white chalk, an embarrassing situation, but I tried to make it work. Also, I had very little time to prepare, less than 35 minutes to set up the easel, draw the sky and blacklight, everything. I suppose my nervous reaction spilled over and affected the angle of my drawing, too! You see how the whole drawing tilts to the right.

That is a light blue background and blue clouds. Turquoise and blue/dark blue trees. The white that you do see is blacklight chalk- on the water, in the sky, and also visible fluorescent on the house and rocks. The blacklight fireworks and stars redeemed the art in my perspective.
